St. Paddy's Day Brunch w/ Buttons & Bows accompanied by Irish Dancer Kara Howgate-Mello
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a 90-minute brunch, live music, and Irish dancing! Choose from either a 10 AM or 11:30 AM seating, with brunch from Bagel Table.
Buttons & Bows will be playing traditional tunes, featuring fiddler Gwen Johnston, who blends Celtic, old-time, and bluegrass influences, along with Jimmy Kelly, a Boston-based Irish folk singer and multi-instrumentalist. Irish dancer Kara Howgate-Mello will bring the energy with a mix of step and sean-nós dancing.

Irish Performance and Ceili

A Celtic Celebration

Join us for A Celtic Celebration, an evening of music, dance, singalongs and stories to celebrate Ireland’s culture on St. Patrick’s Day. The concert features the Carter Street Band playing jigs, reels, waltzes as well as traditional Irish step dancing. The evening will also highlight stories, sing-alongs, a slideshow with a tribute to Celtic Sojourn's Brian O'Donovan, and The Mood Elevators (a women’s vocal trio) performing beautiful 3-part harmonies of traditional Celtic songs. Set dancing is a group dance style similar to American square dancing. In this class, students will learn the first two figures of the Clare Lancers Set and begin to become familiar with the patterns found in this style of dance. Set dancing is lively and a ton of fun. No experience needed and open to all ages 12+.

Feet Keep the Beat

The Center for Arts at the Armory heats up the stage this summer with “Feet Keep the Beat”–a new annual multicultural percussive dance festival! CAA is thrilled to bring together vibrant and diverse communities of Flamenco, Irish, Tap, Kathak, Body Percussion and other flavors of percussive dance from around the world.
